We had the chance to sit down with Spiro to discuss how the company has emerged as a leader in transitioning to sustainable transportation as part of the SDG Leaders campaign.  Since its launch, Spiro has been at the forefront of electrifying mobility across Africa’s major urban centres, focusing on electric bikes, charging infrastructure, and home charging solutions that offer a cleaner, greener alternative to traditional petrol-powered vehicles.

With almost 20,000 electric motorbikes deployed across countries like Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Rwanda, and Benin, Spiro's mission is simple but transformative: to reduce emissions and enhance urban mobility. Every ride on a Spiro bike is a step towards a cleaner future for Africa, where the harmful effects of air pollution are being mitigated through technology and innovation.
